After leaving Oregon, our next stop was the Del Norte Coastal Redwoods near Crescent City. Here was one of our views while sitting in our camp site.

That speck near the top of the frame is a returning murrelette, an endangered seabird that roosts in the treetops of redwoods. It is lovingly referred to a the flying potato.
